Create a more inclusive and accessible world by learning the basics of three blindness adaptive tools: the braille slate, the white cane, and sighted guidance (guiding someone who’s blind). Author Jennifer Durrant introduces this workshop with a reading from her nonfiction picture book Silver Is the Moon, based on the true story of Josée Andrei, a young girl who was born blind and who supported the French Resistance during World War II. For children ages 6 and older and their caregivers.
