Discover a fast-paced fantasy adventure filled with dragons, magic and hidden worlds. Author Julia Vee discusses her Phoenix Hoard series, sharing insights into her writing process, world-building and the inspiration behind her stories, followed by time for questions.

Julia Vee was that GenX kid raised by libraries and still remains unsupervised. She attended U.C Berkeley and majored in Asian Studies. Ebony Gate, an Asian-inspired contemporary fantasy, was named a Golden Poppy Finalist for the Octavia E. Butler award.

Weaving Stories is the Library's celebration of the many diverse histories and cultures from AANHPI communities.

Summer Stride

Summer Stride is the Library's annual summer learning, reading and exploration program for all ages and abilities. Read and learn with the Library all summer long.

This program is sponsored by Friends of the San Francisco Public Library.

Attending Programs
