Local author Jennifer Durrant reads her debut nonfiction picture book Silver is the Moon, based on the true story of Josée Andrei, a young girl who was born blind and supported the French Resistance during World War II. It’s a story of courage, literacy, resiliency and community. Durrant will offer a demonstration of how to do sighted guidance, a safe way to walk with someone who has vision loss. For children and their caregivers.
