This mixed media project (paint, digital art, collage, and textiles) celebrates the experiences and contributions of Black people across San Francisco. Each participant will create and leave with their own canvas masterpiece, a personal tribute to the impact of Black San Franciscans throughout the city.

Participants explore citywide Black history—from arts and culture to innovation, activism, education, and entrepreneurship—using layered materials to honor Black excellence past and present.
