Come to a screening of the documentary Chesley Bonestell: A Brush With The Future, followed by a Q&A with James Dalessandro, Christina Dikas and  Wyn Wachhorst.

Chesley Bonestell: A Brush With The Future compellingly reveals a nearly-forgotten artist whose mysterious, almost magical, ability to envision distant worlds inspired generations to reach for the stars. Born in San Francisco, Bonestell studied architecture at Columbia University, and went on to produce architectural paintings, scientific illustrations, and special effects matte paintings for films. He also did illustrations for numerous science fiction magazine covers, primarily for the Berkeley-based The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction.

Following the screening, there will be a Q&A with local author and filmmaker James Dalessandro, San Francisco-based photographer and architectural historian Christina Dikas, and writer Wyn Wachhorst, all of whom are featured in the film.

Watch party and film discussions.
