An audio-visual presentation on the reclusive but prolific career of Houston-based musician Jandek (Sterling Smith). Since 1978, Jandek has released all of his albums on the independent Corwood Industries label but did not start performing live in concert until 2004.

Today, Jandek’s discography on Corwood features more than ninety albums, most of which are live recordings with corresponding DVDs, one of which (Toronto Sunday) will be screened on Sunday, March 15, 2020.

Presenter Nikolai Sadik-Ogli has degrees from Indiana University and San Jose State University, works as an archivist and contributes regularly to an online Finnish cultural journal Mustekala. This two-part presentation is based on a book-length manuscript he has written about Jandek.

Enjoy performances, talks and workshops that celebrate movement and the musical arts.
