Murals have become synonymous with San Francisco’s Mission District. This talk sheds light on the history of murals, their emergence in the Mission, and highlights individual murals so you can understand their symbolism and how they’re an emotional map of the neighborhood.

This presentation is a mini-version of the Mission Murals tour which Renee Berger, project leader for the Burnside Mural+, offers as part of San Francisco City Guides.
