The Presidio Poetry Series features readings by local poets, writers and musicians.

Marty Le Renard, originally from Manchester, England, spent his youth serving as a British paratrooper, seeing several deployments including Iraq and Afghanistan. His return to higher education, combined with a lot of introspection, unexpectedly transformed his worldview. Today he pens insights on what he has seen and learned from those experiences in his adopted home of Jenner, California.

Brian R. Martens has always been a poet. His book of poetry Three Raven Gate (2019), consists of Haiku and other favorite poems. His second book, Merlin's Wing, is new poetry to be published. His podcast is "The Spoken Symbol." Brian offers creativity workshops and is a "CA Poets in Schools" instructor. He co-hosts the Santa Rosa Arts Center, "Speakeasy" event.
