Create a one of a kind painted postcard to send to a loved one. Amanda Ayala will lead participants in learning watercolor and gouache painting techniques on quality watercolor paper and let them choose from a beautiful collection of fun USPS postage stamps. Flor y Canto helps connects each person’s creativity in visual arts and the written word.

Amanda Ayala is an interdisciplinary Xicana Indigenous artist and maker who centers people targeted by oppression and acknowledges their brilliance. Amanda leads and facilitates workshops that combine artist liberation and social justice for people of all ages. She creates within community as a way to heal and transform society.

¡VIVA! at the Library is a celebration of Latinx heritage, cultures and traditions. San Francisco has a rich Latinx heritage that is highlighted in a diverse array of exciting programs for all ages, from Spanish/bilingual storytimes to cooking classes, author talks to art and cultural presentations.
