Workshop: Print Kwanimals with Arion Press

Create a one-of-a-kind Kwanimals letterpress print with Arion Press. Hand-ink photopolymer printing plates made from Susanna Kwan’s eerie, humorous, and relatable black-and-white ink drawings, then pull your own print on a portable printing press—the same way prints have been made by hand for generations. Each participant will create a unique print to take home.

Arion Press is a San Francisco publisher and printer dedicated to the art of fine printing and bookmaking. Founded in 1974 as the successor to the renowned Grabhorn Press, Arion creates books entirely by hand, bringing artists and expert bookmakers together to explore the enduring possibilities of the printed word.
