“You Can’t Judge a Book...”

by Artists from The Arc
Event detail

In a world where digital media is more and more prevalent, this show challenges us to think about the new ways we might interact with the tangible, 3-dimensional object we call the book. Is there a difference in how we value objects that are virtual vs. real and handmade? How do people who are literate at different levels respond to literature, the printed word and images?

The exhibition highlights the talents and perspective of artists with developmental disabilities and the importance of their creative contribution to our culture.

The Arc San Francisco is a learning and resource center for individuals with developmental disabilities. Our three art studios offer space and support for artists with Down syndrome, autism and other disabilities to develop new skills, grow as artists, develop professional portfolios and realize financial gains through sales of their work.
