Make a Wish for Tanabata

Event detail

Tanabata (七夕 "Evening of the Seventh") is a Japanese festival held annually on the 7th of July that celebrates the once-a-year meeting of two star-crossed lovers - Ox Herder and the Weaver Princess - who are seperated by the Milky Way during the other 364 days of the year.

People celebrate this special night by writing down wishes on small strips of paper called "tanzaku" and hanging them from decorated bamboo branches.

Come write down your wish on a tanzaku and hang it from our Wish Tree!
