In partnership withe the Potrero Hill Family Support Center (PHFSC), we will show a family-friendly film and PHFSC will provide a meal.

This month we will show Queen of Katwe.  This biopic of Ugandan chess prodigy Phiona Mutesi traces her journey from the slums of Katwe, where she is forced to abandon her schooling at the age of nine, to the upper echelons of the chess world.  Rated PG. 124 minutes.

This is a Films & Videos program from SFPL. From feature films to youth-made videos, we’ve got something great to watch.

These cultural events are free and open to the public.
