The Bay Area’s beloved Unique Derique teaches the African roots and rhythms of Hambone body percussion and its evolution in America in this lively presentation and performance. This creative experience inspires participants to learn playful rhythms and to express their own Hambone musical style in an engaging environment suitable for all ages.

This is a Performance program from SFPL. We host events featuring music, art, dance and more.

These cultural events are free and open to the public. See More Than a Month for the complete program guide.
