Members of Kathleen McClung’s poetry workshop, Embracing the Hush Hour, present a reading of original new work. These dynamic, emerging local poets explore a variety of subjects in wide-ranging tones—tender, witty, urgent, and more. McClung designed the Hush Hour workshop two years ago to guide and support Bay Area poets in the process of crafting and publishing their best work. The class meets twice a month at The Writing Salon in San Francisco, a creative writing school for adults.

The author of two poetry collections, Kathleen McClung has taught writing for nearly thirty years. In 2018-19 she is a Brown-Handler writer-in-residence at Friends of the San Francisco Public Library.

This is a Reading, Writing & Poetry program from SFPL. We love reading/sharing/creating words.
