The Lincoln Park Golf Course was once San Francisco’s City Cemetery, a windblown assemblage of fraternal and ethnic burial plots, Chinese temporary internments, and the city's Potter's Field. A New Look at Old City Cemetery with historians John Martini and Alex Ryder covers the history and demise of San Francisco's 19th century cemeteries, with special focus on Lincoln Park and recent research and archeology taking place at the nearly forgotten burial ground.

John A. Martini is a native San Franciscan and a life-long researcher into the history of California and the American West with more than 25 years experience as a National Park Ranger at parks around the country.

Alex Ryder is a San Francisco-based historian with extensive experience researching, interpreting, and writing about the past. His portfolio of projects includes historic resource evaluations, interpretive panels, and organizational histories.
