59th Annual Artists' Exhibition

5/13/17 - 7/30/2017

Potrero

Potrero General Floor Area

1616 20th Street

Join us for the 59th annual Potrero Artists' Exhibition!  Artists who live, work, attend school, or worship in the Potrero Hill and Dogpatch neighborhoods will be showing their work from May 13th to July 31st, 2017.

The Potrero Hill Artists’ Exhibition is one of the oldest annual art shows in San Francisco and owes its longevity to Potrero Hill artists and dedicated library staff in building this meaningful, community-led event. It originated in 1955, when artist Charles Griffin Farr organized an exhibit with well-known local artists, amongst them Henri Marie Rose, Victor Arnautoff, Ruth Cravath, Bill La Grille and others. Farr believed the show, sponsored by the library, would indicate to the City how important the library was to its community, as it continues to be today.
