Directed by Nicolas Roeg (Don't Look Now, The Man Who Fell to Earth), Eureka stars Gene Hackman as a solitary and obsessive 1920s Klondike prospector, who after decades of destitute scavenging finally becomes enormously rich, only to find himself burdened with problems, including a soul-destroying daughter (Theresa Russell) and a host of schemers that includes Rutger Hauer, Joe Pesci and Mickey Rourke, bent on cheating him of his fortune.
