SFPL is proud to launch The Living Poets Society. This reading series is curated by San Francisco Poet Laureate Genny Lim in collaboration with Youth Speaks and 826 Valencia to celebrate the current SF Youth Poet Laureate cohort to the public. Featuring Youth Poet Laureate Delilah Roller and Local poets Itzel Peres Alarcon and Michael Warr in an intergenerational panel presentation followed by an open mic. Bring your own poems to share at the open mic that follows.

Michael Warr is Poetry Editor of the anthology Of Poetry and Protest: From Emmit Till to Trayvon Martin. Other books include The Armegeddon of Funk and We Are All the Black Boy. He is a San Francisco Public Library Laureate and cofounder of the English/Chinese poetry project Two Languages/One Community with poet Chun Yu.
