Author Grace Loh Prasad presents a reading and slideshow from her 2024 memoir The Translator’s Daughter, sharing her experience of living between languages, navigating loss and searching for belonging as a Taiwanese American in the diaspora.

Grace Loh Prasad is the author of The Translator’s Daughter (2024), a memoir exploring language, identity and belonging as a Taiwanese American immigrant. The book was a finalist for the Northern California Book Award in Creative Nonfiction, the Louise Meriwether First Book Prize and the Black Lawrence Press Immigrant Writing Series. Her work focuses on diaspora and cultural connection, bringing a personal and literary perspective to conversations about navigating life between languages.
