Learn about Spice Lab, a creative space to practice flavor-building cooking techniques while learning about global food history and traditional recipes from a professional cook.

This class focus will dive into global food history to explore how dishes evolve in a place over time to become traditional recipes. We will explore this city's great culinary past and bring up treasures to discuss our rich food culture and define our native terroir.

Chef Aaron got his professional start as a Private Chef in Rio de Janeiro, became a farm-to-table Market Chef and urban historian in Los Angeles before landing back home in San Francisco at the historic Tadich Grill. Settled into a career as a high-volume, high-end production cook and kitchen manager for corporate to public sector clients, Chef Aaron is currently the Executive Chef at a large industrial facility overseeing the production of many thousands of meals weekly for distribution to senior centers and homes throughout the Bay Area.  Aaron is regarded as a Master Chef by his employers and peers for his exceptional ability to make complex traditional sauces from scratch at volume under pressure for diverse and demanding clients.
