Explore Downtown and SOMA through the places, histories, and cityscapes that evoke the world of Susanna Kwan’s Awake in the Floating City. Led by Shaping San Francisco, this walking tour moves from high rises and Chinatown streets to rooftop outlooks, memorials, and other elevated sites, inviting participants to imagine San Francisco across time.
The tour is just under two miles and includes a couple of steep slopes and a staircase. Rain or shine.
Starting Point: Transamerica Redwood Park at the Transamerica Pyramid. Enter from Sansome, Washington, or Clay Street.
