Discover the Glen Park neighborhood and Crosstown Trail through a series of exploratory walks that take you up and across several staircases and pedestrian bridges as part of SF Stairway Month, organized by Glen Park Beautiful, and be a participant in San Francisco’s inaugural year of Walktober led by library staff.
Begin the adventure by meeting at the Glen Park Branch Library and set off towards the Cuvier Commons to cross the San Jose pedestrian bridge, where we will double back towards the Glen Park Greenway, learn about the Crosstown Trail, head towards the Burnside mural and tiled steps for a short activity and break, then pass over the Bosworth Pedestrian Bridge. You can continue your own adventures, grab a snack in Glen Park after and if you can, join a community meeting (6:30pm- 7:30pm) at the Glen Park Library Community Room to meet renowned artist Dana Albany and contribute ideas for a new mosaic mural in Glen Park.

Walk Characteristics: Easy amble, with some steep hills and stairways. Wear comfortable shoes, bring water and a hat.
