Learn how to repair and embellish your clothing and bicycles with SF Environment.

BIKE REPAIRS with Bay Area Bike Mobile outside on the Larkin Street Steps: The Bike Mobile will provide free tune ups & repairs, fix flat tires, adjust brakes and gears, and replace broken or worn-out parts like chains, seats and tires. The only thing it can’t do is replace missing wheels or gears. While the mechanics work on your bike they’ll explain how you can keep it running smoothly. Let’s get more families riding bikes in San Francisco.

Bike or no bike, everyone is welcome to attend to learn about maintenance, safety and more!

CLOTHING REPAIR in the Latino/Hispanic Room A on the Lower Level of the Library: You may bring one article in for repair and slight alterations. Or work on creative embellishments such an embroidery, patches and more. Materials will be provided and there will be coaches to help you learn to make you own repairs in the future. (Bikes are not permitted inside the Main Library.)

This event is first come, first served. One item per person.
