The College Fee Waiver for Veteran Dependents benefit waives tuition at any State of California Community College, California State University or University of California campus. Elena Kim served in the United States Army from 2005 through 2010. After serving with honor, Ms. Kim used her GI Bill benefits to earn a bachelor's degree in International Affairs and a master’s degree in Legislative Affairs at George Washington University in Washington D.C.  Having a passion for public service, she was appointed as the County Veterans Service Officer for San Francisco in 2022.
