When N. Scott Momaday (b. 1934) won the 1969 Pulitzer Prize for his first novel House Made of Dawn, it marked one of the first major acknowledgments of Native American literature and culture. House Made of Dawn tells from multiple viewpoints the story of a young man returning home to his Kiowa pueblo after service in the U.S. Army. Now Momaday’s body of work comes to life in this biography of the celebrated Native American storyteller. A PBS documentary, with contribution from Robert Redford.
