Our recurring program has a guest! Author Nina LaCour is celebrating her first chapter book, The Apartment House on Poppy Hill, with aspiring young writers. Join LaCour on a walk around the neighborhood, to observe the things that make your neighborhood special. Discuss local surroundings and use your imagination to turn the place you live into stories.

Build confidence in your writing and make new friends at this writing group for students. A librarian will guide participants through fun and thought-provoking writing exercises. Bring a personal journal or use our supplies. This special edition is open to kids 7-12 and their parents are also welcome to join.
