The Friends of Calligraphy and Book Arts & Special Collections, San Francisco Public Library invite you to a gathering to remember and celebrate our dear friend Alan Blackman — calligrapher extraordinaire, teacher, colleague, relative, neighbor, friend, Singer of the Street, US Veteran, font designer, and lover of rubber duckies, ballet, opera, vintage films, day-glo colors, and a good joke.  Bring your fondest memories to share. There will be a slide show, a keepsake, and the camaraderie of those who will always miss him.
