Western Addition Branch is supporting the City’s Community Hub initiative to provide support for students in grades K-8 who are utilizing SFUSD’s Distance Learning Curriculum and prioritize children and youth with high levels of need. Due to public health requirements for physical distancing and space limitations, the Library cannot provide simultaneous SFPL To Go service. Collections

  • High-interest English language collection of books, magazines, newspapers, DVDs, Blu-Rays, as well as music and books on CD.

  • Extensive Japanese language collection of books, magazines, newspaper, DVDs, Blu-Rays, and CDs for children, teens, and adults with new titles arriving regularly

  • Japanese Interest Collection (in English) covering many aspects of Japanese culture and Japanese Americans.

  • Russian language collection of books, newspaper, DVDs, and CDs for children and adults with new titles arriving regularly.

  • Black Interest Collection that covers many aspects of Black history and culture.

  • Historical photo archive collected from neighborhood residents as part of the Shades of San Francisco Project.
