Explore a Variety of Free Classes and Programs During Tech Week, October 5–12

San Francisco, September 23 — San Francisco Public Library (SFPL), in partnership with community organizations, hosts Tech Week from October 5–12. This week-long series of free programs offers technology resources and educational opportunities for all ages and skill levels. Whether you are looking to learn or have fun, there’s something for everyone including basic tech help, AI education, fraud prevention, photowalks and music workshops. Tech Week takes place during Digital Inclusion Week, an annual event to raise awareness for digital equity solutions, which runs from October 7–11.

“Digital literacy encompasses so many things, from learning about internet safety and A.I., to discovering new tools that make learning and work easier,” says SFPL’s Digital Equity Manager Maricela Leon-Barrera. “We create a safe space for people to be curious and to engage in learning something new or necessary. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, looking to have fun or learn a new skill, there are programs for all to explore during Tech Week.”

Tech Week aims to bridge the digital divide by offering programs at Library branches, partner locations and online, with some available in Spanish and Chinese. It is an opportunity for the community to learn and explore all that technology has to offer.

SFPL’s Tech Week is supported by over two dozen organizations, including Tech Exchange, Dev/Mission, Community Living Campaign and others that provide essential tech training and resources. The full schedule is at sfpl.org/techweek
