San Francisco Public Library Launches New Streaming Platform, Bay Beats, to Boost Local Musicians
Free Events for Asian American, Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander Heritage Month at San Francisco Public Library
SAN FRANCISCO, April 24, 2023 – May at San Francisco Public Library is jam-packed with free author talks, book clubs, film screenings, crafts, food programs and musical and dance performances celebrating Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month.
What to See at San Francisco Public Library this Fall/Winter
SAN FRANCISCO, November 3, 2022 – This fall and winter, San Francisco Public Library (SFPL) hosts a wide array of exhibits in its public spaces. Always free, the exhibits feature the work of several San Francisco-based artists, including the City’s 7th Poet Laureate Kim Shuck in collaboration with visual artist LisaRuth Elliot. There is also a fun exhibition featuring artwork created by SFPL workers, showcasing their many hidden talents. Descriptions of each show follows. More information can be found at sfpl.org.
San Francisco Public Library Opens New Temporary Library Site in the Mission on Saturday, June 18
The temporary branch library, located at 1234 Valencia Street, will provide 7-day, in-person service while the historic Mission Branch Library undergoes a $24.7 million renovation
