Come and celebrate the beautiful West Portal Branch and community during our annual open house on Saturday, 04/18/26 from 1-4 PM.  Visit and enjoy:  

  • Crafts with the Youth Librarians
  • Face Painting with Diego Flores Art 1:00-3:00
  • Musical performance by Penelope Houston with Tom Heyman and Michael Montalto, 2:30-3:30 
  • Button Making 
  • Free books for all ages! 

Light refreshments will be served. 

Creative Arts

Exercise your power of imagination with programs that encourage hands-on projects for adults. For craft programs, all materials are provided, unless noted.

Events featuring theater, music, art and dance.

All programs are drop-in (no registration necessary) unless otherwise noted. All SFPL locations are wheelchair accessible. For accommodations (such as ASL), call (415) 557-4557 or contact accessibility@sfpl.org. Requesting at least 3 business days in advance will help ensure availability.
