Does your automaton self need to recharge on the way to Farmer's Market to shop for your human overlords? We've got the best fuel for you: jazz will ring out midday in the Main Library's atrium, just as bot batteries run low. The music of the Klaxon Mutant All Stars is a product of a new generation of eclectic-minded jazz musicians living in the technology-obsessed, genre-twisting, and multicultural mix that is the San Francisco Bay Area. With inspiration drawn from 1980s hip hop, to underdog baseball heroes, to the writings of David Sedaris, California politics, to covering local indie rock bands like Deerhoof, the album Robot Invasion by the Klaxon Mutant Allstars is multi-pronged in its influences, vital in its relevance, and boldly points towards the future.

Charge up for the show by listening to their album, Robot Invasion, on Bay Beats, where you, and humans as well, can stream local music for free!

Events featuring theater, music, art and dance.

Enjoy free performances from musicians on SFPL's Bay Beats local music streaming platform. Featuring all genres, from classical to folk, rock to rap, pop to punk.
