San Francisco Office of Assessor-Recorder Photographs Digitization Project
As of December 2025, 77,000 of the 94,000 photographs from the San Francisco Office of Assessor-Recorder Photographs have been digitized by San Francisco Planning. These images are accessible through the San Francisco Property Information Map (SF PIM).
How to Check if a Photograph Has Been Digitized:
- Search for the property address using the San Francisco Property Information Map.
- In the left sidebar, click on “Historic Preservation.”
- If available, digitized photo(s) will appear under the “Property Photos” section.
