Local artist Rachel Lozada presents a Filipino themed traditional weaving workshop with a socio-historical and decolonizing context. This workshop is aimed at bringing awareness to all participants to connect to and perhaps even reclaim their own family, regional, or cultural link to traditional and indigenous weaving. Participants see a variety of weaving samples and get to try their hands on various types of tabletop looms. Space limited. Reservations required: (415) 355-5727 or sign up at the reference desk (beginning September 1).
