Ajuan Mance is an artist and writer based in Oakland and a Professor of Illustration at California College of the Arts. She has shown their art, zines and comics at exhibitions and festivals from Vallejo to Vienna. Mance is the author and illustrator of 1001 Black Men, Living While Black, and What Do Brothas Do All Day? Her comics collection, Gender Studies, was published last spring.
