How to sign up

T(w)een Winter Read starts December 1, 2024 and finishes January 10, 2025.

What are the steps?

  1. Grab a paper activity log at any San Francisco Public Library location. Receive a free book of your choosing as a registration prize!
  2. Record time you spend reading or participating at library programs on your activity log. Read in a variety of formats from print to electronic and a range of genres from graphic novels and manga to science fiction — reading to your dog, cat or plant counts! Visit the library and attend an event like DIY crafts or visit The Mix at Main's Makerspace for 3D printing.
  3. Use your activity log to write or draw a review or response to something you’ve read or something you’ve done at the library during T(w)een Winter Read.
  4. Once you’ve completed 10 hours of participation, bring your finished activity log to any library location. Receive a Museum of Craft and Design MakeArt kit or an additional free book. Select your preferred raffle prize on your activity log, and submit your completed activity log as your raffle ticket for a chance to win.

And the prizes?

  • Pick up a free book when you register!
  • Receive a Museum of Craft and Design MakeArt kit or an additional free book when you complete 10 hours of participation. Completion prizes are available starting December 15th, while supplies last.
  • Win a Bonus Prize: Turn in your completed activity log to any SFPL location for a chance to win an iTunes gift card + LEGO kit bundle, headphones, polaroid camera or Nintendo Switch. Select your prize preference on your activity log. Winners will be notified by January 28, 2025. Prizes must be picked up by February 4, 2025.
