Calling all poets. Bring one short poem to participate in San Francisco’s biggest and all-ages open mic celebration of National Poetry Month at the 16th Annual Poems Under the Dome.

City Hall is still closed, so our annual celebration is going digital again. Since 2006 Poems Under the Dome has celebrated National Poetry Month inside City Hall with the support of The Mayor, The Board of Supervisors, SFPL, Friends of SFPL and community sponsors. Our citywide open mic continues online.

Bring one short poem to share, and see you there! We start with a Community Blessing by Jorge Molina, and San Francisco’s Poet Laureate Tongo Eisen-Martin reads the First Poem.

Organizers Diamond Dave Whitaker, E.K. Keith, Global Val Ibarra, Dan Brady, Richard Ivanhoe and Charlie Getter can’t wait to hear your poems! Poets and fans of poetry of all ages are welcome.

Tongo Eisen-Martin is San Francisco's 8th Poet Laureate.

Charlie Getter runs the 16th & Mission Micless Open Mic.

Global Val Ibarra is a Mutiny Radio Host and Poet Laureate Selection Committee member.

Dan Brady runs the longstanding Sacred Grounds Poetry Open Mic.

Richard Ivanhoe is the On the Page/Off the Page SFPL Page Branch Library Open Mic host.

E.K. Keith is the organizer of Poems Under the Dome and a teacher-librarian in SFUSD.

Jorge Molina is a Mission District Elder with a Community Blessing.

Diamond Dave Whitaker is the founder of Poems Under the Dome, a Mutiny Radio Host and Rainbow Family Elder.
