Can you make edible and expanding goo to drink? Learn more about seeds and sprouting in this gloppy experiment. Gather water, chia seeds, measuring cups and spoons, a dish with a clear cover, a paper towel and some lemonade for this challenge with Librarian Anita.

STEM Challenge Yo’Self is created by San Francisco Public Library from the Youth Librarian STEM team. Stay STEM-tastic by reading, learning and experimenting at home. Gather materials for a new challenge posted weekly at 2pm on Mondays followed by a Live STEM Zoom Lab with SFPL on Tuesdays at 2pm. 

Gain a new perspective on and understanding of the world through programs on the sciences.

Summer Stride is the Library's annual summer learning, reading and exploration program for all ages and abilities. Read and learn with the Library all summer long.
