This week’s project: Covered Board Books

Materials & tools needed for this project:

  • pencil

  • scissors

  • ruler (inches) 

  • spoon (wooden or metal, or bone folder)

  • 2 paper clips

  • sewing needle

  • waxed linen thread (or dental floss or other type of thread)

  • glue stick

  • waste sheet of paper (newspaper or junk mail)

  • 2 sheets of paper (color) 8” x 5”

  • 4 sheets of paper (white) 8” x 5”

  • 2 pieces of chipboard (or cereal box type of cardboard) 4 1/4” x 5 ½””

  • 2 pieces of decorative paper (i.e. art on paper or wrapping paper) 5 ¼” x 6 ½”

  • 1 piece of Tyvek (or colored tape or paper) 1 ½” x 6”

Book Arts Roadshow was co-founded by Cheryl Ball & C.K. Itamura to provide Book Arts instruction and hands-on learning experiences for all ages in your own space. Attend one class or all three.
