Workshop: Parol Making

Celebrate Filipino culture by making a parol for the holidays. Parols are star-shaped lanterns that are typically constructed with bamboo and decorated with tissue paper.

 

Parol Kits available at Ocean View and Excelsior Branch Libraries, and from The Mix at the Main Library, starting Tue., Dec. 14. While supplies last.

 

Supply list: Included in the kits

10 Bamboo Craft Sticks

15 Mini Rubber Bands or 15 Paper Twist Tie

Cellophane Paper

Tissue Paper

Yarn
