An experience that brings San Francisco’s marijuana cultural history and activism to your fingertips!
Enjoy a close-up show-and-tell with San Francisco marijuana history through original documents, newspapers, scrapbooks and flyers which document San Francisco's marijuana culture and medical marijuana activism. Archival collections from the San Francisco History Center and the James C. Hormel LGBTQIA Center, highlight the Brownie Mary Papers (including her original brownie recipe) and Survive AIDS—ACT UP/Golden Gate Records.
This exclusive program, in partnership with Evergreen San Francisco, takes place within the San Francisco History Center and participant attendance is limited. The behind-the-scenes event is led by our knowledgeable archivists, who guide the tour of treasured documents. Photography is welcomed and encouraged during the program. The program will start at 4:20 p.m.
