To celebrate the first ever Mandarin language-learning programs throughout our branches this upcoming summer, we are hosting a kick-off event for the community. Come join us for an exciting afternoon of lion dancing, Mandarin class demonstration, performances, Taiwan's unique culture displays and various activity booths (tea ceremony, calligraphy, games,  Dragon Boat Rice Dumplings small sachets making, pineapple cake tasting, etc.). Mandarin class teachers will be on site to answer questions. We also will have some Chinese children books to giveaway while supplies last. 

This event is provided in partnership with the Chinese Center of San Francisco Public Library, the Education Division of TECO-SF, Cultural Center of TECO-SFCulture Center (Milpitas) of TECO-SF, ., Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning of Taiwanese American Center of Northern California, Taiwanese American Center of Northern California and Association of Northern Chinese Schools.

慶祝我們將在今年夏季各分館舉辦的第一個國語學習計劃,我們將舉辦一暖身活動讓社區享受一個有趣的下午。活動將包括舞獅、舞蹈表演、台灣獨特文化展示、課程介紹及華語學習心得分享、各種活動攤位(茶道、書法、遊戲攤位、 端午節做香包攤位、台灣特產鳳梨酥等)。各分館的老師到場介紹及回答疑問, 我們還將有一些中文兒童書籍贈品,送完即止。

本活動由舊金山公共圖書館中文中心与駐舊金山台北經濟文化辦事處教育組駐舊金山台北經濟文化辦事處金山華僑文教服務中心金山華僑文教服務中心(南灣), 北加州台灣會館台灣華語文學習中心北加州台灣會館北加州中文學校聯合會提供。
