We discuss Love in the Time of Cholera by the Nobel Prize-winning Colombian author Gabriel Garcia Marquez. In this acclaimed romantic novel, Florentino Ariza waits fifty-three years, seven months, and eleven days to finally possess Fermina Daza, a woman who once promised her love but then jilted him in favor of another.
