2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. The Art of Baybayin and Philippine Calligraphy With Ian “Taipan” Lucero and Kristian Kabuay. Q+A with Lisa Melnick.

4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. * Event is moved to Sunday, October 16, 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., African American Center, 3rd Floor  Liwanag 3: Filipino/a/x Creators Celebrate the Newest Edition of a Historic Bay Area Anthology With Dara Del Rosario, Steve Belale, Luna Salaver, and mg burns. Moderator: Jason Bayani.

Please visit the Festival marketplace in the Latino/Hispanic Community Room on the Lower Level: Book and indie comic company vendors, author tables, author signing, and community organizations. Open Saturday, 10:00 a.m - 5:45 p.m., Sunday 12:00 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.

The 6th Filipino American International Book Festival will be taking place on October 15-16, 2022 at the San Francisco Public Library. Come celebrate our Filipino/a/x authors.
Presented by http://pawainc.com/ (Philippine American Writers and Artists) in partnership with the San Francisco Public Library, this year’s theme is Hiraya/Emergence: Writing towards the Future.
Hiraya is a Tagalog word for imagination, for dreaming, the emergence of the flower and the fruit. What does Hiraya mean to you?
