作者陳宗元 ,字紹球,廣東番禺人,1937 年生於漢口。 中日戰爭前後居香港,上海,瀋陽,台北。 中學四年旅居日本東京。1954 年赴美,肄業麻省理工學院化工系後轉修醫學。1970年於約翰斯,霍普金斯完成耳鼻喉美容專科後在舊金山灣區行醫。 2007年退休後常旅居法國與義大利。歷經八旬餘人生各地各國文化,時局,以及性取向各種演變。現定居舊金山。 

著作【異徑】傳記小說,2017年出版英文版。並曾創作詩詞,刊登於美國各詩詞刊物。2021 年出版中文版。天地圖書出版社準備以中英文雙語在德國國際書展陳列。在華美兩岸傳播媒體可以看到他的訪問。

Author: CHEN, TSUN YUAN 。 Aka Chen, Shiao Chiu.  Born 1937 in Hankow, China. 

           Lived in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Shenyang, Taipei in early childhood. High School education in Tokyo, Japan. Arrived in U.S. in 1954 for college. Graduate of M.I.T. in Chemical Engineering 1958, but decided to pursue a medical career. 1970 completed training as ENT and Facial plastic surgeon from Johns Hopkins Medical Center, and started practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. 

            Retired in 2007 from medical practice and divides his life between two continents of America and Europe, living a multicultural life and having experienced the political, social and sexual evolution over his lifetime of eighty some years. Publications: Along Alien Roads, the Yi Jing of a Life, 2017, English edition. 2021 Chinese edition. Cosmos Publishing of Hong Kong plans to present his books as a bilingual presentation at the International Book Fair in Frankfurt. His poetry has been published in various journals in the U.S. His interviews can be seen on the bicoastal Chinese American TV and Radio media.
