Show artistic skill and personal vision in your application for competitive visual arts high schools or colleges. Work closely with a professional and experienced portfolio advisor while working from life. By the end of this 10 week series students will have completed work showing shading and tones, shadow and light and creating volume and facial/body proportion. Gain understanding of and practice with professional artists’ materials including pencil, charcoal, pastel and a variety of papers free of charge. Offered in partnership with San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department. Space is limited, register on Eventbrite or by calling (415) 557-4404. Participants must be in middle or high school. 


Find inspiration through craft programs featuring talented artists, makers and even your local librarians. For craft programs, all materials are provided, unless noted.

Prepare for college or a new job with related workshops and skill building.
