During the Cultural Revolution, two university students are sent to a remote village for "reeducation" but have an unexpected impact on the lives of others. A French-Chinese coproduction, Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress is based on the bestselling novel by Dai Sijie. Not Rated, 111 minutes, 2002.
