Stop by the Glen Park Library Open House for fun events all afternoon long including Drag Story Hour with Honey Mahogany, a family-friendly sing-along led by our librarians, violin and flute music performed by local community members, crafts, face painting and light snacks

Starting at 11am, delight in stories shared by Drag Queen Honey Mahogany, as she takes you on an enchanted tour that celebrates a rainbow of diversity, fun and the unique value and worth of each of us.

Then, get your family moving and grooving at 12pm with a sing-along featuring family-friendly favorites, in an interactive music program led by SFPL librarians Michael and Lisa.

Slow down and enjoy light snacks at 1pm as The Glen Park Duo, featuring Janet Houser on violin and Steve Shapiro on flute, entertain us with a variety of classical duets.

End your fabulous day at the library with a drop-in craft hour starting at 2pm. There will be space for drop-in crafting and take-home craft kits available, including origami fortune tellers, paper airplanes, and painted rocks for the Burnside Mural rock gardens.

Connect with your community through Library gatherings.

Gather, share knowledge and celebrate our unique identities at the queerest library ever.

For more resources, the James C. Hormel LGBTQIA Center is the gateway to the Library’s broader collections documenting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex and asexual history and culture, with a special emphasis on the San Francisco Bay Area.

Discover new flavors, build cooking skills and try something tasty. For food programs, please be aware of food allergies.

This program is sponsored by Friends of the San Francisco Public Library.
