Learn basic Mandarin and Chinese culture. Registration is required. Please call: 415-355-2848.

There will be six sessions: June 10, June 17, June 24, July 1, July 8 and July 15 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

For age 15 and older.

This program is provided by a partnership with the Education Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in San Francisco, Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning, Chinese Cultural Learning Center and Visitacion Valley Branch Library.

Weaving Stories is the Library's celebration of the many diverse histories and cultures from Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities.

Summer Stride is the Library's annual summer learning, reading and exploration program for all ages and abilities. Read and learn with the Library all summer long.


This program is sponsored by Friends of the San Francisco Public Library.


Attending Programs

All programs are drop-in (no registration necessary) unless otherwise noted. All SFPL locations are wheelchair accessible. For accommodations (such as ASL), call (415) 557-4557 or contact accessibility@sfpl.org. Requesting at least 3 business days in advance will help ensure availability.

This program will be conducted in English unless otherwise noted.
